TRAINING CLASS 2010

IGI Class of 2010 combines an impressive group of talent, experience & wisdom.  Counselors, teachers, lifecoaches and health care professionals have been sharing their life experiences together as they complete the 6th all day training workshop.  Exploring  both fundamental and advanced concepts, the class dove head  first into the experiential waters of dreamwork, the opportunities in “therapeutic misses” and Gestalt relational therapy.

SALONS

Our “salons” continue to provide a fascinating array of Saturday morning discussions.  This last year included presentations on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Buddhist Psychotherapy, Couples Yoga, Mindfulness, and Gestalt theory applied to specific populations.

Saturday, September 25th from 10am to Noon, we welcome Dan Moseley, author of “Living with Loss” who will present a beautiful model of transformation through difficult periods of grief, loss and disappointment.

SPREADING THE WORD

Steve Roberts and Charlie Bowman will  present to Butler Universities’ doctoral  candidates on Contemporary Gestalt Theory and Practice.  This is the  8th year that Butler has asked the Institute to present and we have founds the Phd students to be wonderfully engaged, curious and responsive as they explore integrating gestalt into their own areas of clinical care.
