We have started reviewing applications for our 2012 First Year and Advanced Training.  If you have been flirting with gestalt training for a while, maybe 2012 is the year to take the leap and join our first year training program.  If you have completed the First Year Training, or a similar offering at another Institute, won't you consider furthering the adventure with our Advanced Training Program?  We already have a number of interviews scheduled...don't procrastinate too long!

In 2012 we plan to focus on Alumni.  Our first order of business is building an alumni list!  If you are an IGI grad, First Year through Advanced levels, and would like to be a part of our Alumni community, please e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .  To get the ball rolling we will host an alumni event on March 24th.  If you know an alumnus from years past who isn't on our mailing list, please pass this information along!

We at IGI are looking forward to 2012 with excitement.  We are grateful to everyone who has and continues to support our efforts to provide a space for people to become more authentic and creative.  Warm Regards to All!  The IGI staff

TRAINING CLASS 2010

IGI Class of 2010 combines an impressive group of talent, experience & wisdom.  Counselors, teachers, lifecoaches and health care professionals have been sharing their life experiences together as they complete the 6th all day training workshop.  Exploring  both fundamental and advanced concepts, the class dove head  first into the experiential waters of dreamwork, the opportunities in “therapeutic misses” and Gestalt relational therapy.

SALONS

Our “salons” continue to provide a fascinating array of Saturday morning discussions.  This last year included presentations on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Buddhist Psychotherapy, Couples Yoga, Mindfulness, and Gestalt theory applied to specific populations.

Saturday, September 25th from 10am to Noon, we welcome Dan Moseley, author of “Living with Loss” who will present a beautiful model of transformation through difficult periods of grief, loss and disappointment.

SPREADING THE WORD

Steve Roberts and Charlie Bowman will  present to Butler Universities’ doctoral  candidates on Contemporary Gestalt Theory and Practice.  This is the  8th year that Butler has asked the Institute to present and we have founds the Phd students to be wonderfully engaged, curious and responsive as they explore integrating gestalt into their own areas of clinical care.
